Do you usually call your friends and/or family on New Year's Eve? Do you watch the countdown or ball drop on TV or choose to ignore it? What are your favorite New Year traditions?

Or they call me. Or we text each other. It depends.

Nope. Living in Sweden, we don´t get to see the ball drop. We set off fireworks at midnight and then there are other traditions on TV ( midnight too ) for those inclined. Not me, though.

Favorite? Hm... The fireworks, I guess. They are so beautifully colorful.

I used to watch this show called " Grevinnan och Betjänten ", but since they changed it to 7ish pm, I keep forgetting to watch it. It´s REALLY funny, though.

HAHAHAHA, I submitted Zac for the Sexiest Geek poll and they added him so:

Go vote for Zac Efron as Wired's 2009 Sexiest Geek

Zac's geekness is only a part of his whole wonderful personality, but he is my favorite geek, lol.

It may seem strange but sometimes I actually look at the other people in Zac's pictures. I decided some of them deserve posting too, lol. I have put them in two categories... Bystanders and Not Bystanders (highly technical terms I know).

Bystanders
These people are my heroes tbh. I think this is the most famous bystander of the year:

when you see it... (no jk these are easy) )

Not Bystanders (ok you can look at Zac in these)
Toddlers through Grans (and dogs too)

there is no upper efron threshold )

This show was terrific! Still is. It´s actually being shown right now on one of our channels.

We used to have a lot of fun watching it. I used to laugh like crazy! Especially at Robert Culp´s character. He was SO funny!

I really like older shows much better than most new ones.

What, if any, resolutions did you make in 2009 and how many did you keep? Do you plan to make any resolutions for 2010? Do you find this tradition constructive or debilitating?

I used to make them, but not anymore. What´s the use if I never keep them?

Will definitely NOT make any this New Year´s either.

If it works for some people, then fine. If not, that might not be fine, but we´re only human, right?

Finally, after months of waiting and speculation, Canada has announced their 2010 Olympic roster.

Goalies
Roberto Luongo (Vancouver Canucks)
Martin Brodeur (New Jersey Devils)
Marc-Andre Fleury (Pittsburgh Penguins)

Defence
Dan Boyle (San Jose Sharks)
Drew Doughty (LA Kings)
Duncan Keith (Chicago Blackhawks)
Scott Niedermayer (Anaheim Ducks) - Captain
Chris Pronger (Philadelphia Flyers) - Alternate captain
Brent Seabrook (Chicago Blackhawks)
Shea Weber (Nashville Predators)

Forwards
Patrice Bergeron (Boston Bruins)
Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins) Alternate captain
Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks)
Dany Heatley (San Jose Sharks)
Jarome Iginla (Calgary Flames) Alternate captain
Patrick Marleau (San Jose Sharks)
Brenden Morrow (Dallas Stars)
Rick Nash (Columbus Blue Jackets)
Mike Richards (Philadelphia Flyers)
Corey Perry (Anaheim Ducks)
Eric Staal (Carolina Hurricanes)
Joe Thornton (San Jose Sharks)
Jonathan Toews (Chicago Blackhawks)

The three goalies were obvious, but starter is not.  Chances are it's gonna be Brodeur, with Luongo back up, but I'm a huge Fleury fan, and given his Cup performance, he's a hypothetical too.

Defence: Niedermayer as Captain...that surprised me.  I figured it was gonna be Iggy.  Other than that, I haven't really paid much attention to anyone else.  Bummer.

Offence: OMG! WHERE is JORDAN?!?! Srsly! *so mad* For reelz! How disappointing!  And way bummed that Marc ain't even there, either.  But Eric rocks, so I am thrilled for him.

Crosby/Nash/Iginla: Duuuurrrr! Obvious!

Heatley: Ew! Sick man! If he just keeps his mouth shut, and is only shown on the ice, I wont have a problem with him.  He's a good player, but a lousy human being.

Thorton: Yay him!  I don't really know much about him, but he's a Veteran, so I hope he succeeds.  I see this being his last Olympics anyway, and bring it home would be awesome.

Notable absences: J.Staal, M.Staal, V.LeCavalier (srsly!).  But I think I'm biased, as I like these people based more so on personality, and not just skill.

But as much as I complain about it, it's a good team. They'll do fine.

Side note: Tomas Kaberle *LOVE* has been named to the Czech team. Go Kabby! (only if you're not playing Can ;))

Alas, no shutout, but still a win.  8-2.  This win will bring rivals Canada and the U.S. together for a New Years Eve match, leading to the winner getting a spot into the semis.

Altho still a large margin, the games will only get more challenging as the series progresses.  Don't get too confident, and watch your penalties, (as Godfather hockey, aka Cherry, said.).

Eh O Canada Go!
